Eligibility & Qualifications
- Age Limit (as on 31 May 2025): 18 to 24 years

- Chemical Plant: B.Sc. (Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry)
- Fitter: Matric + ITI (Fitter)
- Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation: Relevant 3-year Diploma
- Secretarial Assistant: Graduate (BA/B.Sc/B.Com)
- Accountant: B.Com
- DEO (Fresher): Class XII pass
- DEO (Skill Cert.): Class XII + Domestic DEO Skill Certificate
Additionally, applicants must have:
- A registered and complete profile on the NAPS/NATS portal.
- Completed application on the IOCL Refineries Division portal. Both steps are mandatory for eligibility .
Selection Process
- Candidates are shortlisted based on aggregate marks in the qualifying exams.
- No written test is conducted. In case of a tie in marks, older candidates are given preference. If both marks and age are identical, matriculation marks will decide.
- Shortlisted candidates undergo Document Verification (DV) and Medical Examination.
Apprenticeship Details & Other Information
- Stipend: As per the Apprentices Act and IOCL guidelines
- Employment Obligation: IOCL does not guarantee employment post-apprenticeship
- Transport Reimbursement: SC/ST/PwBD candidates eligible for return rail fare if DV location is over 30 km away

Step I – NAPS/NATS Portal Registration
- For certain trades (post codes 101, 102, 103...): Register on NAPS.
- For other trades (codes 104, 105...): Register on NATS.
- Apply for IOCL apprenticeship opportunity using the provided establishment ID .
Step II – IOCL Application
- Complete application on iocrefrecruit.in between 3 May and 2 June 2025.
- Upload photo and signature (≤50 KB, JPG), select preferred refinery unit, and submit.
- Use same email and mobile as in NAPS/NATS registration .
